More people add to tree
I have added a few old certificates today. These have been bugging me for some time. It turns out that Alfred Dellaway lied about his age when he got married. On his marriage certificate he says he's 19 when he was actually 16. I found his true age from his date of death in WW1. His wife remarried six months after his death.
Polly Dellaway on the other hand is still bugging me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, so much to do on the tree and no time to do it. I have been busy at home and work and have had no time to do anything. Thank you all for signing my guest book. I have ordered some new certificates that should be here tomorrow or Wednesday and I hope to add these before the weekend. But, thanks for reading.

My trip to the PRO at Kew
Last Tuesday I went to the PRO at Kew to try and find my Great Great Grandads Army records plus a few other bits for me and and my wife. I got there at 09:00 as the doors opened. I went in and started on the records I needed to order. I had written down all the film and records numbers the night before so I could just order them straight away.
09:30 came and I could now order the records I needed, after 20 mins the boxes arrived, I went through all these old services records and found......... nothing. Absolutly nothing for my Great Great Grandad (James Dullaway) and nothing for my wife. The only things I did find was my Great Grandads service records and the records of the 2 Dellaways that died in WW1 (I'll be posting more that on the site when I get around to it) I must have ordered 20 different records and looked at numerous micro films. I left there at 17:00 quite despondant. Not wanting to ever go back. Well, 6 days on and of course I now want to go back after looking at their web site and have found one or two more avenues to go down. But this won't be for some time.
Now back to current events, I have had a few more people contact me with different things and more photos to add and the new service records I found for these soldiers in WW1 and my Great Grandad, I'm going to be busy. Plus I need to reply to some mails and invite Emma Vokes down to see me. Where I am going to find the time I do not know. Since renewing my interest in January it has gone mad.

Well I have now received my certificates for George Dullaway from 1907. Well, One is for a George Dullaway age 62 marrying an Elizabeth Gardiner and the other is George Dullaway age 24 marrying Louisa Hunt. New Reaserch
I have now started some new research (actually old reaserch that I have never been able to link up) It is Polly Dullaway born 1903 to George Dullaway and Mary Ann Hunt, I cannot find a marriage for the parents. There is a but. The but is I also have a cetificate for a Jane Dullaway born 1906 with the parents as George Dullaway and Louisa Hunt. Is this wife the same person?? Well in 1907 there are 2 entries for a George Dullaway Marrying. One is to Louisa and the other is unknown. Therefore I will have to order one of the certficates to see if I can match them in. I will keep you posted

BIG HISTORY NEWS
Well what can I say, I have found tonight that Arthur Richard Dellaway (b.1871) was NOT the 1st Dellaway to emigrate to Australia. It was actually John Dellaway (b.1827) and Mary Smith (b.1837) + the kids who went to Australia on 01/11/1862. I will update my web site tomorrow with a bit more info

Still going
Gone through another Tree off Genes reunited and have found about 15 People to add to my Family History. This is going to take a while, as I like to confirm what I find rather than except it as gospel, just in case!!

Getting help from Genes Reunited
I've had a lot of interest from Genes reunited, quite a few people have contacted me with Dullaways in their Trees. Now having a look to see if I can fit anyone in. This may take a few days and a lot for printing sheets and crossing out.
Also, big thank yous to people who have signed my guestbook recently, it makes what I'm doing worthwhile.

The Start of my Blog
Hi,
My name's Jason and I am Tracing my Family Tree. I have been tracing it for over ten years. I have created my own web site at http://www.dullaway.co.uk which contains all my reaserch. I will try and update this blog with what I am currently reaserching and putting on my web site as much as I can. It's to give an insight for anyone that's also interested in the name and History. I currently have a few things going on so i'll update in a day or two.
Regards
Jason
